Our herd of 21 alpaca live on 170 acres in Durham, Maine, along with a dog, 3 cats, and a flock of chickens. Our house and barn date from the early 1800s.
Bill, a former Maine Attorney General and Judge, works in D.C. for the Department of Defense. Bill served as Green Beret in the U.S. Army officer until he was injured. He uses a wheelchair and we've adapted our house and our farm for accessibility.
Barbara, a retired attorney, whose brief brush with fame includes having served on the Harvard Law Review with the President, runs the day-to-day operations of the farm and works in the winters for the Gould Academy Competition Program as the weekend coach for the youngest racers during the winters. Julia is a student at the University of Maine, in Orono.
We breed our alpaca for excellent fiber and easy going temperaments and welcome visitors interested in learning more about our animals and their fiber.
